03/23/06 - Young and Running Scared
Dave Pollard writes about ten reasons young people are afraid to start their own businesses. As a 25 year old entrepreneur, I think I've dealt with all of these issues to some extent in my entrepreneurial career. I've been fortunate that I haven't had too many large, visible failures at this point but at the moment I am staring down the barrel of a very public failure. On some level I'm quite disappointed I'm not able to succeed, but I need to face reality and move on with the (tremendous) information I've learned though it all and apply it to my next ventures already in the works like FeedAgg.com and some other pending ventures.

03/23/06 - Money In The Long Tail
Well, it's 1:32 in the morning and I've just read David Hornik's entire front page of blog postings. The post on "Where's The Money In The Long Tail" stood out to me, especially in light of what we are doing here at FeedAgg.com, as it describes very succinctly one of the most important uses of the internet, bringing out obscure content and monetizing it cheaply and effectively to small groups of users. Check out this post as well as the entire blog. It's hard not to like a guy that references Nigel and amps going to 11.

03/17/06 - Amazon S3 Data Storage
Amazon's new S3 Data Storage service just announced the other day seems to have me, well...stupefied with possibilities. Dirt cheap storage rates and transfer rates, ACL lists, SOAP and REST interfaces, and that's just scratching the service. Really, are you kidding me? This seems like it has the potential to ripple through many internet segments....dot mac, web hosting, back up. With this and some of other web services coming out of Amazon, how long before Google is no longer the only tech-web darling?
